On February 2nd  I recieved Toyota’s Engine of Change Award at the 16th annual Competitor Endurance Sport Awards. The Competitors rented out SeaWorld and put on the most amazing party and award show.  It was true honor to be a part of it.  Toyota donated $5000 to the Raisin Hope Foundation…. WOW!!! Thank you so much Toyota.  Last week I came back from Washington D.C.  While I was there I talked to some of our injured heros with brain injruies from the war in the Middle East.  I encouraged them to stay strong and to fight to the finish.  My mission is to grow my Raisin Hope Fund into a free standing foundation for brain injury and brain injury research.  I am home in Georgia this week. Yesterday, my family had a huge party  in celebration of our wedding. We had such a great time seeing all of our friends and family.  I am trying to keep my blog up to date while I am on the road.

I am sorry it has taken me so long to write a new blog. I have been in France and did not have access to the Internet. Life in Salt Lake City is great, although as a Georgia boy I am not quite use to the two feet of snow on the ground! I have been doing a lot of swimming and running…hint hint. Big news for me- I leave Wednesday to San Diego for the Competitor Endurance Sports Awards. I have been nominated for their Comeback Athlete of the Year Award. This will mark a huge step in brain injuries, and I hope to show people not to give up because dreams do come true. A few days after the Competitor Endurance Sports Awards, I will be traveling to Washington D.C. where I will be meeting up with members of the United States Air Force.  I will also be visiting our injured troops at Walter Reed. What can I say - life has been very exciting. Wish me luck at the Endurance Sport Awards..
