I go to dinner with a lot of amazing people.  Tonight, I have to share this one with all of you because it truly touched my heart.  Jacob is a 14 year old amazing kid.  When he was born he suffered a stroke and is partially paralyzed.  Could you imagine Jacob riding a bike for 41 miles?  Well he did and this program called Lose the Training Wheels helped him achieve this dream.  Oh, I can’t even describe to you how amazing and life changing this organization is.  They have created a bike to help train kids with disabilities.  They start off with someone helping them and very quickly learn how to ride by themselves.  When I asked Jacob what it felt like the first time he rode he said, “I can do this.”  It reminded me so much of how I felt when I was first able to ride after my accident.  Watching Jacob describe riding a bike with this huge smile on his face has made me really want to support and get involved with this organization.  After learning more about this program I realized how riding really impacts all kinds of people.  Once these kids realize their potential on the bike they often start to branch out to other sports and activities because of the confidence they have gained.  I know I am always asking for support from you and your support is my motivation to get back to racing.  I am also asking that you help support this organization so miracles can be brought to many deserving lives.   I will be working closely with them and will keep you updated on how you can help.  I wish you all could have shared this experience with me tonight.   Here is a YouTube video and a story on the organization:
