Hi Saul, we are glad to hear that you are home recuperating with a healthy appetite. My wife and I have been following the updates about you, and what a great thing it is to see the latest about you, from you! I've been thinking about the inspirational recovery stories of Lance Armstrong and Greg Lemond, and I can only think about how you will overcome any obstacles and be back riding soon, better than ever too. In the meantime, eat some ice cream (if that's on the approved list, of course). Best to you and your family.

Hay Saul, What a scare….
Where do I start? I have been reading your guestbook usually twice a day and each time I get on here I break down and cry like a baby. I have finally made it through enough to type. It goes without saying that there isn’t an hour that goes by that I (we) don’t think of you. Tyson ends his Prayers with a 10 min. long Prayer for you that usually bring Jenn and me to tears. Partner, you can tell by all these entries that you are a hero to a lot of people and you have a job to do… (GET BACK ON THE BIKE). You are going to have a long road to travel and I wish that I could do it for you, but unfortunately I can’t (I’m sure you wouldn’t let me anyway). Just remember as the road gets harder that you have millions of fans cheering you on. Looking forward to chatting with you soon. Jim and Yvonne if there is anything we can do to help don’t hesitate to call.

I am a grandmother who has been very interested in cycling since reading Lance's "Not about the bike". I was very shocked to hear about Saul's accident, especially as we adopted my sister's son after a car accident in which she was killed together with her husband, and in which he sustained severe brain injuries. We realise that all of you have a long, hard road ahead but also know that every small step forward will be a cause for celebration. Keep fighting, our thoughts and prayers are with you. |

Each and everyday I follow your progress. It seems like years ago that your crash happened and we all wished you well hoping upon hopes for you just to get over your initial medical issues. It is sooo wonderful that we now get to hear about your progress and you getting stronger each day.
You are still one of the bright rising stars of American cycling and we look forward to looking back on this wth as much "look at where he is now" as we do when we see clips of Lance with his head bald from chemo.
Keep Raisin Hell and call those guys at Giro Helmets, lets see what sort of "Giro Helmet Crash Test Pilot Man of the Year" advertizing campaign they can hook you up with!
Hang in there. Raise some hell, and all of American if not all of Cycling looks forward to seeing you get victory or two.
Most importantly, get well!

basically - all I have to say is WOOWWW !!!
I have been following the site avidly, and smiling wide (literally) with every piece of good news, but a post directly from you is way more then I could have expected for a while !!! at first, I couldn't believe it !!!
It is so grerat to have your own writing style back in the blog, even if, for a while, mom types. It still counts !
And it's not that I'm complaining about your parents posts - they have been great, just like (as I have recently learnt) your mom&dad are in real life !!! what amazing and supportive family (and girlfriend, community, fans) you seem to have !
