Neil Marklew from Banbury, UK | Signed on: Wed 31 May 2006 01:30:49 AM MST nmarklew@yahoo.co.uk Saul, It's great to see you doing so well in rehab, your determination and good humour is amazing! Good luck with your ongoing recovery. I recently read a book called 'The Totem Pole: And A Whole New Adventure' by British rock-climber and mountaineer Paul Pritchard. He suffered a brain injury whilst climbing in Tasmania and the book describes his journey through rehab and beyond. It is a truly moving and inspiring read and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about how amazing the human mind and spirit is. Perhaps surprisingly it also contains a great deal of humour! Best wishes from the UK, Neil |

ryan siu from san diego, ca | Signed on: Wed 31 May 2006 12:34:06 AM MST “Seeds of faith are always within us; sometimes it takes a crisis to nourish and encourage their growth.” -Susan Taylor You are in our hearts Saul....know that and remeber to breathe. I am so happy to hear that you awoke, and is it not the greatest thing in the world to hear your family is there to bring you home?! Rest yourself, eat lots of good food (do you like peach cobbler? I guess that just sounds Georgian!!) and gain basic strength.....then maybe you can push yourself a little in rehabbing. I will keep looking here for news but i wish you all the best and hopefulness! You have it in you Saul, we all do. |

Charmaine from Stoke On Trent, England | Signed on: Mon 29 May 2006 11:04:00 AM MST Hi there Saul, Greetings to you from England. It is with much joy and happiness I write, because to see you up and about and making good, is just fabulous. And as well, it is so kind of you to share your recovery with us. I do know something of what you have experienced-I have a sister who has had very similar to you and she has since made a complete recovery. But where you are already walking, writing etc. it took her many many months longer to achieve what you have already accomplished-thats so fantastic and your biggest win to date. Can I just say as well, I am so pleased to see that you have still got your lovely looks-there isnt a more handsome guy in that pro-peloton-hurry back soon. Lots of love and regards, Charmaine xxxx |
