Otis Gunn from Macon, GA | Signed on: Sat 08 Jul 2006 05:00:14 PM MST Saul, Order my Raisin Hell bracelets from Carmichael's. I am sending one to Al Stern in Chicago and I know he will ride and race with it in style there. He was hit by a car on his bicyle about 4 years ago in Chicago, broke both legs and both arms, among other broken things, and he is back racing, lots of people seeing his rear wheel. He gives his best, and would write you if he had a computer. I will be his liason. Keep in coming ! Otis |

John Wheeler from Indianapolis | Signed on: Sun 02 Jul 2006 06:08:27 PM MST Saul, You are making great progress. Cool pic of Thor flyin the team colors with a bracelet. Man if you can pump 3 hrs on the trainer the raod might be callin'. When I hit the road after a brain injury there was no lookin back to the trainer. I took it very easy at first with a mountain bike and a road with almost no traffic. It was strange to ween off a trainer in heat, but there also wasn't much wind. You'll do it soon, although with the tour on it makes for good trainer miles and the time zooms. Some other folks have mentioned that Bret Neylon will soon arrive at the Shepard Center. Bret is a tremendous soul and if you or any other cyclist in the are who pay him a visit will be doing themselves a favor. Bret is a teacher, cross country coach and tremendous cyclist and has spent a life making those around him better. |

gerda from belgium | Signed on: Sat 01 Jul 2006 01:28:12 AM MST Don't quit When things go wrong as they sometimes will. When the road you're trudging seems all up hill. When funds are low and the debts are high. And you want to smile but you have to sigh. When care is pressing you down a bit. Rest, if you must, but don't you quit. Live is queer with his twists and turns. As everyone of us sometimes learns. And many of failure turns about. When he might have won he stuck it out. Don't give up though the pace seems slow. You may succeed with another blow. Succes is failure inside out. The silver tint of the clouds of doubt. And you never can tell how close you are. It may by near when it seems so far. So stuck to the fight when you're hardest hit. It's when things seem worst that you must not QUIT. This stood on the site of Cadel Evans. I read it and thougt of you. For this reason I write it to you. Fly high in that bleu sky of your's. |
