Saul, It was great seeing you in Greenville this weekend. I thought you commentary from the stage was excellent. I have been a fan since the first TdG when you won the best young rider award. It was great seeing that you are doing so well and I look forward to your next Raisin Fun ride. I also appreciated you posting the picture of us (Saul & Paul). It is on page four in the top left corner. 8)

Saul,
It was nice meeting you this weekend in Greenville. It was great talking with you and you were right in your race perdiction. The field was really blown apart by Paris mountian. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your postive spirit with us. I also wore my Raisin Hell socks with pride on Sunday. Stop by the shop and see us if you are in Charleston.

So good to see you are really living life and recovering so well. The full sense of life has returned to your eyes. All of our prayers, hopes, and dreams have come true.

Maybe next year you can race the CSC / Clarendon Cup in DC. We would love to see you up here.

Of course, if you are in Europe Raisin Hell again I think that would be even better!
:grin

We all look forward to hearing about more steps in your recovery and then hearing about your new training programs and all about you going anaerobic and bloodshot eyes after a training ride. Can you smell the air in Langkawi right now? Does the mountain that rests there know that you will be the first up it next year to take a stage victory.

Come to Washington DC sometime and a bunch of us would love to take you around!

All the very best,

-Jason

Hi Saul,
I was hoping to meet you this weekend, but never got the chance. My husband met you at the DeFeet booth (Bryan Elliott). I heard you speak at the Peleton Project ride and was just as emotional as you were. You touched every single person in that audience. You are an inspiration and a miracle. I (we as a cycling community) are glad to see you riding again. It won't be long before you are tearing it up in Europe again! I am cheering for you everyday in your progress.

Hugs from Hickory, NC.

Saul,
It was a pleasure to meet and ride with you on Friday and Saturday. I wish you the best during your recovery. You will be in the thoughts and prayers of my family.
My wife forgave me very quickly for staying out too long on friday when she learned who it was that I rode with. You have two new fans here in greenville. Anytime you want a ride, give me a ring. Best of luck this year.

Update on the condition of Christophe Brandt from the DVL website:

Medical bulletin Christophe Brandt - 31/08
Good news about Christophe Brandt's recovery after his heavy crash last Tuesday during the Schaal Sels.[/I

][I]After a control of his lungs, the doctors have decided to wake Christophe earlier than foreseen.

Our Davitamon-Lotto racer is now awake and his condition is improving rapidly. He has already chatted with his wife, he has no heavy pains, and his blood controls show a particularly positive evolution.

I want to thank everybody for thinking of and praying for Christophe. I don't think that a lot of you in America really know who he is but in this geustbook we could already see how close cyclingfans all over the world can be.

And Saul, I want to thank you for making time for hem. I'm sure he will be very happy with that.

Now you both can go "Raisin Hell" to get back in the peloton because I'm sure a lot of people's are missing you.
