Kevin Padgett from Sunnyvale, CA | Signed on: Thu 25 Jan 2007 09:06:33 PM MST Hey Saul, So glad that training camp was good for you. While you were in France we were in GA. Sorry we missed you but glad you were kicking butt across the pond. We hung out with Cal Kaschub in Calhoun and some of my buds in NC. They all have been following your recovery and shared stories of how they've ben inspired by you. Sherry says that she thinks of you when she needs inspiration to get motivated for her commute. I've gotten back on the trainer and planning a 'comeback' for this season. Wish we could have gotten together for a ride while we were in Ga. Sure was good be home. If you come out to the Tour of California we have to get together. We live minutes away from the stage finish in San Jose, hint hint hint. I'd love to take you for a ride in the redwoods over to the ocean. Hope to see you soon, Kevin and Sherry |

Gilbert Craven from Virginia Beach, VA | Signed on: Thu 18 Jan 2007 06:31:58 PM MST Saul, I have to admit that your recovery has given me inspiration while I'm dealing with my own recovery. After finishing my most successful road/track season I decided to "throw in" a couple MTB races....you know...."for fun". To make a long story short the 1st race ended half way throught 1st lap resulting in a Tibia/Fibula spiral fracture....on Oct. 1st!!! Now, on Jan. 18th, there's still no weight bearing/walking. Your recovery has given me hope that it won't be much longer until I'm back out on the road. Also, I hope your training camp was a success for you & proof to your team that their trust in you is well deserved! WAY TO GO!!! Keep up the good work! |
