Hey Saul and friends,

Great ride last Saturday! I enjoyed the pictures on your website. I was wondering if you could provide me with the name and link to the photographer who was snapping photos of the participants in the Raisin Hope ride. Thanks.

First off HAPPY EASTER to everyone. Today is a day to spend with family and to reflect on the power of Jesus rising. ( I am not going to get all spiritual on any of you - what you believe is what you believe - its a private thing.)

So this morning I headed over to visit Saul Raisin's blog and see whats been up there. (This was after Jakob inhaled enough candy out of his Easter basket to stay awake for the next 3 days) - Looking at pictures from Saul's "Raisin Hope" ride I was struck by the fact that a year ago the doctors said he may never walk again - That he will not ever be able to click into a bike again much less competively.....

The healing power of faith and hope is evident in this picture - - - Saul on the attack - up the climb just where he belongs. That my friends is the healing power in action. On Easter they tell us in church that Jesus has risen and I believe that on this day we all should remember that it is also our job to "rise up" to the calling - to the potential that God has given us.

Saul beat a slow death in a wheelchair - Saul rose up.... He is an inspiration!

Saul,
It was great to see you at the ride last Saturday. I celebrated your 1yr anniversary with a three hour ride that took me through the pocket on the same road that you rode on your first comeback ride. The whole time i though about how far you have come and what you have overcome, it gave me incentive to push through a very stiff headwind up Horn Mtn. Keep it up and Luke and I will come cheer you on at the USPRO Champs.

Hi Saul,
Congratulations on your continued recovery.
Will you be riding any TdG stages like you did in Cali and/or making any appearances, perhaps at the Live Healthy Georgia Expo?

All the best, Mike

Saul,

Thanks for the nice letter to Brookwood. I read it to all our students this morning via the intercom system. It is important to me that our kids see the importance of making a difference in our community by helping others. Your letter today helped bring everything full circle for them.

Looking forward to next year,
Will

Dear Saul,
It was a great pleasure & surprise to have met you at the Tour of Ca.
after reading & learning about you in my cycling mags.
I'm on the right on this photow/you: SP_A0756.jpg
I suffered a cevere head injury w/multiple other issues in a fatal auto accident. Competitive Cycling is my passion and overtime it too and my love for the sport brought me back to the condition I was originally.
Your incident & story resonated deep within me and I wish you to know how proud & happy I'm for you in your recovery.
Thank you Saul for ALL you do.
Warm Regards & Blessings to you.
Your fan,
James ;-)

Do you recall saying "I'll let you beat me if you donate $50 to my charity" on the way to the KOM at Cardiac Hill on Stage 2 of the Tour of California. Well, I took it a step further and challenged my riding buddies to donate as well. They donated $100 that I have to match, but I missed the deadline. (I gave them until the last minute and missed the deadline myself.) Email me, curtistaylor@yahoo.com to tell me how to get my $100 to you.
