Saul-
It was great meeting you today at the Carmichael. What an amazing story of your accident and how you are able to get back onto your feet again, let alone a bike. Hope all is well and you keep getting stronger everyday. You are a very talented athlete and I wish you the best of luck woth everything that you do. Congrates on the wedding. Let me know if there are any cariety races for your funds, I am very interested in maybe coming and participating in a couple of them. Thanks again for taking time out of your day and talking with my group, this is a day I will never forget!!!!

Hey Saul! I am a part of the group that met you and watched your testing this morning. (wed. 5/16) I think that you are just incredible and I can't wait to hear the rest of your story. I am looking forward to following your career and reading your book when it comes out. I'm curious how often group fundraising rides are? i know you guys just had the Raisin Hope ride and stuff, but I would love to participate in a big group ride like that. Let me know if you post dates like this on your web site and I will be sure to keep myself updated. Thanks again for speaking with our group this morning, it was a great expierence and we all learned so much!

I was riding along Wasatch Blvd in Salt Lake City on Saturday when I saw a cyclist riding towards me wearing Credit Agricole team kit. My first thought is \"I wonder if that is Saul Raisin? Nah, what would he be doing in SLC?\" Then I read your blog that you were in fact in SLC at that time. It is great to see you back on the bike. Hope you continue to improve.[velofreak@thebluezone.net]

Hi Saul,
I rode with you on Sunday to Alta. Thanks for the push. It feels good to ride with the professionals. Your story is certainly inspiring. I hope you recover fully and become one of the great, so one day I can tell people that I rode with you and everybody knows who I am talking about. I am sure you will get there.
By the way, if you can make it from 7-Eleven to the second entrance to Snowbird in 45 minutes you will probably have the best time ever. I have never been able to do it in less than 50 minutes but 46 is the record. I am 18 years older than you, so you can make it.
Good luck.

Hey Saul, glad to hear your doing well. My nephew, Evan Vaughan, had the same kind of crash as you did last January 2006 and was either not expected to live or be paralyzed due to the massive head injury. He was in a coma for about a week and thank God, has survived and is a healthy teenage kid getting ready to start college at TCU. Unlike you though, he is afraid to race and keeps saying his career is over at 18 and will never be able to race again!! If there is any chance, I would love for you to email me so you can send him a word or two on how you jumped back on the bike and still racing. My email address is: frank.everly@hmshost.com

Saul , so good to read of your continuing improvement and all the changes . Congrats again to you and Aleeza. Your Saul Raisin ride here in Dalton was my last ride, what a thrill it was to ride for such a worthy cause , especially as I am a fellow head injury myself, sadly 2 days later ( I wish I could say it was cycling, but it was actually helping my wife to dust lol) I tore my ACL tore my cartilage in 2 places, so here I sit, a new ACL graft in place, recovering enduring physiotherapy, what a hoot ! lol ah well, , keep at it, keep those pedals turning and all the best in the upcoming year to you both!

I went to the Tour de Georgia and meet Dave Shields. Who helped write your book. I ordered your book on the net. He said he forwarded my message to you. I ride my bike about 9 miles every day. I had an accident and was run over by a truck when I was seven. I am now 36 but a big cycling fan. I have a trach in my neck that I press to talk. Hope to get to ride with you someday.
Thanks David Demery my email is deuce1.1@netzero.net phone is 813-685-0290

Hi,
I just read the first chapter of your book , it was hard for me to understand because , I have only two years english behind me. But for so far I understood it , I like it very much at the end I was crying .... It's such a wonderfull story because you survived it. I hope to read the full story soon and I hope it will be translated in my language.
I wish you the best in everything....

G'day!
I came off my Colnago in December, 1992 [Stood the bike up whilst going 'round a corner at speed in hilly country to miss the car over on my side of the road and naturally didn't go 'round the corner! Trouble was it was a 5 metre (18 foot) drop over the edge!] and am still slowly getting back to normal from my closed head injury, multiple rib fractures, haemo-pneumo-thorax, ruptured AC joint etc.! etc.! Keep up the good work in your recovery, I know what it's like! Don't slack, but don't try too much either; look after yourself!

Cheers!
