Brooke Hoyer from Vanocuver, WA | Signed on: Mon 11 Jun 2007 02:55:46 AM MST Saul, I've read about your accident and inspiring recovery. I'm happy to see the amazing progress you have made. I'd like to bring Ryan McKnad to your attention. Ryan is a cat 4 racer in Oregon who suffered a severe injury during a downhill sprint at a race about three weeks ago. He was in an induced coma for about a week. He's making very slow progress recovering. I don't know Ryan but his friends and family are updating his condition on a blog: http://www.ryanmcknab.blogspot.com/ I think it would mean quite a bit to the Ryan and his supporters if you checked out the blog and left a note. Thanks. |

Greg Burnham from Coconut Grove, FL | Signed on: Fri 08 Jun 2007 05:20:43 AM MST I suffered a traumatic brain injury in 1977, I had stopped racing and went back to college to finish my degree. I was in an auto accident and was in a coma for 35 days. My recovery was successful because of all the encouragement I recieved and because of my conditioning. My brain is 45% atrophied and I don't care. I do the best I can. I rode 10,000 miles a year for 4 years and then fell to 8500 miles and 7200 last year. People cannot believe I suffered the injury I have and for that I thank God. I have permanent eye damage due to 4th Nerve Palsy. But I do not let this stop me. I have loving support from my wife and financial support when needed from my Dad. When the sun comes up the strongest person is the one on his bike. Good Luck in your recovery and endeavors. |

Nicolas P from Good luck! | Signed on: Mon 04 Jun 2007 12:41:28 PM MST Salut Saul! Nicolas P.
