Saul,
It was nice talking to you in the Nice airport the other day. I truly appreciate you taking the time to chat with a fellow cyclist. My guess is that your ride up the Col de la Madone was done in a much better time than mine!! I wrote a bit about our meeting on my team's website (www.Westwoodvelo.com) in my diary. Best of luck, and if you ever need a new riding partner (or just a personal chiropractor!) in the Nice/Monaco area, drop me a line.

Saul, so pleased with your progress, but I am not surprised. I don't know if you've ever seen the movie "Peaceful Warrior". If you have not, you should. Peace. Larissa

Saul,
Just finished your book (in 2 days) - couldn't put it down! Very inspiring! Your story is amazing and I hope to be watching you in the TDF next year! I've been a CSC fan but I think CA is now my new favorite. I hope to see you on the roads around SLC. If I see a CA jersey zipping past me in the canyons at least I'll now know I'm being dropped by my new hero. Congrats to you and Aleeza.

It is truly an inspiration to see a full recovery from such an extreme injury. I am amazed at the mental stamina that you have shown despite your physical injuries. I am a Cat 4 racer and have not raced this season due to depression. I am well on the road to recovery and hope to be ready both mentally and physically next year. It is stories like yours that inspire me to move forward. Thank you Saul for your determination and strength of mind and giving so many people, including me, hope. I have no doubt we will see you riding and winning le Tour very soon. It is also a testament to your teams loyalty and character. One can only think of the cowardly reaction of Cofifdis to Lance\'s Cancer diagnosis.

Talk about coincidence, I saw your ad in Bicycling magazine yesterday morning and then your interview on versus last night. Nothing less than inspiring!

Hi Saul,

I heard your interview on eurosport the other day and it inspired me to contact you. A good friend of mine was hit by a car while motor pacing last year and has an extreme head injury. A year later she still can't really even enjoy the sun because she gets too much pain in her head, and she has problems to consentrate. Anyway I want to buy your book for her but it would be really cool if I could buy a signed copy. If you have time could you send me an email at larueegg@gmail.com. Good luck and I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Saul - I saw your interview last night and was both amazed and inspired by your story. I was hit bay a car 2 years ago and I'm still recovering from having 4 vertabra in my lower back fused together. Seeing your story made me want to get back on the bike more than ever. I will order your book from Amazon today.

Best of luck,

What an amazing inspiration you are. The world needs more role models like yourself who, against all odds, persevered through life\'s hardest tests to prove nothing is insurmountable if you just try.

I sincerely wish that your milestones-of-recovery lead you to the top of the 2008 Tour de France podium!!!

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!

Hi Saul-
I saw your interview today on the tour. I am an Occupational Therapist here in Memphis and started a Metric Century bike ride 4 years ago to benefit Brain Injury awareness. Shepherd Center has sponsored us every year since so many patients from this area that are affected are evaluated with hopes of going to Shepherd for their rehab program.

My husband, who is a Physiatrist, has done the MS 150 ride for the past 11 years help me get this fundraiser started and I have recieved so much help from survivors I have treated in he past and there supportive families. We call it Ride For Your Mind. There is just not enough recognition of how a brain injury can change the lives, the personality and the future of people of all ages, everyday and how the people around them are affected. If only enough adequate therapy and support was available for longer periods of time, would we be able to help more people get back to living. The Regional Trauma Center here treats and helps so many people in the surrounding states. We would love you to come to our next bike ride planned for March 2008.

We appreciate any help in raising more awareness and support in the Mid-South.

Thanks for your time.
Would love to talk to you about it.
