I am in the bike and triathlon industry - imagine my surprise when I pop into REI in Salt Lake City and see an amazing Pro cyclist, Saul Raisin. I watched when he raced; I was totally stoked when he recovered and I am thrilled to have spoken with him today. Saul, have a great US time trial championship in September and keep motivating us with your great attitude and unbelievable skill as a Pro cyclist!

I was watching the sports channel the other day and watching a special on cycling and it made me think of you! Hope all is going well with you and your training, and your not working to hard, ahah! Saul, I read your book with a great deal of interest and realized that I met you and your parents a Long Time Ago (tm). Do you remember a ride called Race the Trace right after Lance won his first Tour? I believe you were 14 but someking most of us old farts. Your dad and I had a wonderful conversation in the club where we listend to some great singer-songwriters play for us. He believed in your dream back then; I did not know you was a bit skeptical. I remember reading your story ages ago in the cycling mags, i felt out of the cycling scene for a while and have recently picked it back up. just want to say its a real inspiration to read, and see, that you're up and running again. keep up the good work. absolutley immense. |

 Can't understand why someone would be removed from the tour for breaking rules for testing months ago. Don't you think he never should have been allowed to start the tour? What difference where he actually went? Love your book and it should in the office of every neurologist. |

Just pick your book up and read it 24 hrs no sleep for me cause I couldn't put it down. One thing though, In the book it doesn't say that you met a new girl. Then I got online after finishing your book and see that you are engaged. How did that all happen? Where did you two meet? Congrats!!! Oh I love your book and story, can't wait to cheer you on in the Tour next year.  |

I wanted to thank you and Dave for writing such a great book. I have just started it and the relationship between you and your parents is an example to us all. With all of the bad press that the sport is getting your story is a breath of fresh air.
I have had the pleasure of meeting you and your parents. I rode in your Raisin Hell Ride and you were kind enough to sign 3 pictures that I took of you at the T de G TT into Macon a couple of years ago.
You give us hope for the future of cycling and have given my son a legit cycling icon to follow.

Hi Saul, I just got back from taking Norm to the Mt. Evans hillclimb. I read 1/2 your book on the trip there and the other 1/2 on the way back. The drive time flew bye, I had to stop reading many times to get my emotions in check, what a great person you and your parents are. Thanks for taking Norm out to train he did well at Mt. Evans.

Your story is truly inspirational and when i heard it on eurosport the other day i wanted to find out more. I am a teacher and am constantly talking to my students about challenge and adversity and how it can help you in life. I will be talking to a group of homeless people tomorrow and will talk about your situation and what it takes to overcome such an ordeal and hopefully this will inspire them to overcome their own problems. I look forward to getting a copy of your book and i\'m sure it will inspire me in all areas of my life. I wish you all the very best for the future |

Hi Saul, We (Gary, my daughter, Debbie and her daughters, and myself) were on the mountain during the Porcupine Race and cheered wildly for you. We were about 2/3rds of the way up.
