Matthew Queener from Dalton, Georgia | Signed on: Sat 01 Sep 2007 01:33:46 PM MST Hey Saul, It was great to see you at your book signing the other night. After today, I have no doubt that you will win the Tour de France if that is something that continues to fuel your passion. Can you imagine how bad you would have beat all of the other racers today if you could have been training like they were all year instead of fighting for your life in a hospital bed? You are going to be one of the best cyclists ever, and you are already one of the most inspirational people of all time. |

Celebration of Life God Bless And keep LIVEing STRONG Lisa Millslagle ps- Thanks for autographing your team card for the kid named Kody at your book signing on Wed. Thanks for autographing your book for me last night. I can't believe how good you look. I don't know you all that well but I have talked with you at three different events, and I can see changes myself. When I first meet you at the Sandy Springs race your eyes did not have the sparkle that they had last night. You really do have a good sparkle back in your eyes. You look great. Keep up the hard training and shop for the stars and of course the yellow jersey in the end. I will be there in spirit with you at the TT this week end in S. Carolina. Even if you don't win this week end, you have won the biggest race of your life by just riding the bike. Ride On. Raise hell. And shoot for the Star's and Stripes this weekend. Phil Denning from Atlanta, GA | Signed on: Wed 29 Aug 2007 03:00:36 PM MST Saul, my son Ted was in a cycling accident 3 weeks ago and suffered serious head trauma, much like youself. We're reading your book and gaining strength from it knowing what's ahead of us. All this aside, we wish you much success this coming weekend at the US Pros and know that we'll keep Ted updated on your efforts as I know he's one of your many fans. His favorite quote is: "Ride every day as if it were your last. Ride in the sun as if it will never rise again. Attack that hill as if it will attack you back. Live life as if you were the only one with a life to live. Most importantly BE YOU." Much success young man. |

Lisa S. from Kernersville,NC | Signed on: Tue 28 Aug 2007 06:13:56 PM MST Saul, my son ordered your book to read and I actually got it and read it first. Your story touched me in so manay ways.My son is also a mountain bike rider and acutally races in the Maxis series this year. He knows to fullfill his dreams he has got to get on the road more and yes that does scare me a bit. After reading your story it did help me realize that I can not hold him back for what might be. Being there and seeing him come thru that finish line is a feeling that only a mother and father of a cyclist can begin to understand. We all know that God has a purpose for each of us, and if your purpose was not be be a pro cyclist in the future it is to that God gives the power to those to make miraciles happen.. May God Bless your and your Family. |
