Casey Murray from Dalton Georgia | Signed on: Thu 15 Nov 2007 10:12:47 AM MST Hey Saul! I'm Casey and i'm 19 years old, I was born totally deaf in my left ear, but I can still hear in my right ear with a hearing aid. Recently, my parents took me down to Bear Creek Bicycles in Dalton and told me that I could pick anything that I wanted in there, well you know what I got, Saul Raisin Tour De Life! It was personally autographed by you, and I love this book with all my heart, it is a fantastic book!!!!! I never realized what your parents went through until I read the book. I thank God everyday for parents like yours, they are very special in your life. I thank God that you overcame this obstacle, I look foward to seeing you at the Tour De Georgia in 2008. I will be on the sidelines cheering you on everyday in rain or shine. Good luck with everything Saul! Casey Murray p.s. I would love to recieve a personal e-mail from you, I would love to be friends with someone that lives in the same town that I do, and loves the same sport as me. My e-mail is Lance_Armstrong_72005@yahoo.com |

Les Hughes from Lancaster, Pa | Signed on: Thu 08 Nov 2007 09:58:16 AM MST Saul, I finished your book 3 weeks ago literally a couple of hours before a ride. This ride though turned nasty after 10 miles. I had a bad crash and broke my neck in 2 places. I broke my right arm and had a very bad concussion. My helmet was destroyed as my head struck a tree. I am doing better and wanted to tell you that your book, "Tour De Life" really inspired me in my recovery! I will be in a cast and neckbrace for 5 more weeks but I will be on the trainer by next week. I have to build up my left arm and shoulder due to weakness from the neck fracture but everything should be fine in a short time. Thanks again for your book! It really is great "pick me up". Les |

Brandon Baker from Taxachusetts | Signed on: Thu 08 Nov 2007 09:54:53 AM MST Saul, I am recovering from a cycling accident and many injuries, including to the brain (albeit less severe than yours, if you could consider any brain injury to be any less than severe). Anyway, I have had a blessed recovery and know everything happens for a reason. Thanks for being strong enough to give inspiration to those who have endured brain injuries. Remember, there are no hurdles, when you've suffered injuries such as us, there are only new adventures and everyday miracles! I will pray and cheer! |

I started riding this summer trying to loose weight and get myself back into my Army shape (retired in 2004) so far I've went from a max weight of 236 to 199. I've always had a bike and since I've had 5 knee surgeries I thought I'd get busy and start riding, so far so good. |
