Saul, just finished your book given to me by your aunt Vera (we are related by marriage). I have followed your career in cycling and recovery but I didn't know we had a family connection. The book is as fantastic as your recovery. On to the TDF 08! Good luck.

Hey Saul! I'm Casey and i'm 19 years old, I was born totally deaf in my left ear, but I can still hear in my right ear with a hearing aid. Recently, my parents took me down to Bear Creek Bicycles in Dalton and told me that I could pick anything that I wanted in there, well you know what I got, Saul Raisin Tour De Life! It was personally autographed by you, and I love this book with all my heart, it is a fantastic book!!!!! I never realized what your parents went through until I read the book. I thank God everyday for parents like yours, they are very special in your life. I thank God that you overcame this obstacle, I look foward to seeing you at the Tour De Georgia in 2008. I will be on the sidelines cheering you on everyday in rain or shine. Good luck with everything Saul!

p.s. I would love to recieve a personal e-mail from you, I would love to be friends with someone that lives in the same town that I do, and loves the same sport as me. My e-mail is Lance_Armstrong_72005@yahoo.com

Saul,
I race for the Cumberland University cycling team and every race, team ride, or training ride I think of your story. It inspires me to dig a little deeper and ride a little harder. You are a big inspiration to me. When is the next Raisin Hope ride? I rode in it last year and loved it. Especially the 5 or so minutes that you and me talked going up Fort Mountain. Can't wait to ride it again.
Keep 'em spinnin.

Saul,
I finished your book 3 weeks ago literally a couple of hours before a ride. This ride though turned nasty after 10 miles. I had a bad crash and broke my neck in 2 places. I broke my right arm and had a very bad concussion. My helmet was destroyed as my head struck a tree.
I am doing better and wanted to tell you that your book, "Tour De Life" really inspired me in my recovery! I will be in a cast and neckbrace for 5 more weeks but I will be on the trainer by next week. I have to build up my left arm and shoulder due to weakness from the neck fracture but everything should be fine in a short time. Thanks again for your book! It really is great "pick me up". Les

Saul,
I am recovering from a cycling accident and many injuries, including to the brain (albeit less severe than yours, if you could consider any brain injury to be any less than severe). Anyway, I have had a blessed recovery and know everything happens for a reason. Thanks for being strong enough to give inspiration to those who have endured brain injuries. Remember, there are no hurdles, when you've suffered injuries such as us, there are only new adventures and everyday miracles! I will pray and cheer!

I have been reading your book lately, and it truly inspires me to keep training hard. Cycling is an excellent sport that requires determination. You Saul, have made me more determined to push myself to the limits in cycling. Thank you. Good luck with the Grand Tours!

I am 3 weeks out from a serious cycling accident. I fractured my hip and my arm. I knew of your mishap and subsequent recovery. I have been absorbing all I can about your story to give me the inspiration and energy to press on with my healing. I look forward to watching you race this upcoming season.

Best of luck brother, I read the article in Bicycling Magazine today and I'm cheering for you and for you to make a great comeback. I started riding this summer trying to loose weight and get myself back into my Army shape (retired in 2004) so far I've went from a max weight of 236 to 199. I've always had a bike and since I've had 5 knee surgeries I thought I'd get busy
and start riding, so far so good. :grin

I just finished your book an hour ago. I had to check up and see how you are doing now. I pray that the testing went well? Your book will be an inspiration to all who read it. I'm inspired by your determination. I wish you well and will pray that you will reach your dream. I'm having my 13 year old son read your book. I'm sure it will inspire him as it has inspired me. Thank you Saul.
