Saul-
Congratulations on your marriage. I have followed your story consistently for months and I admire your strength, determination, and sincere sense of optimism. You are a true champion. I hope to cycle at your event in March if you are holding it. Thanks for being my inspiration. :)

Major faux pas on my part, Saul!
Your and your beautiful bride's Wedding date IS December 1!

The Wedding pictures are beautiful - on the beach in Hawaii at sunset!!

Yes, you are Blessed , many times over....

Just read your letter, dated November 22. You are so right, your new life ahead is tres belle, with your new lovely, beautiful bride, Aleeza Raisin, at your side. Endless possibilities await you and Aleeza in your new life together.
You are a tremendous person who can do anything you choose.
Listen and you will be guided in the new direction you are to go. (You have done that your entire life, it seems.)
Always the Best to you,
Hebe and Ken Wall

December 12, 2007
Well, Goodness gracious, Saul, you are officially a married man as of December 8!!

Congratulations and Best, Best Wishes, and a multitude of Blessings upon you two forever and ever!!!

You all have been Mr. amd Mrs. only four days! I had been thinking about your impending wedding and thought it was the first Saturday in December..
Ken and I are both very happy and excited for you all...Mais oui, bien sur, La Vie est Belle et Merveilleux....

In a more serious vein...
I\'ve wanted to write since reading the article in the Dalton paper, Monday, two weeks ago...about the French doctors giving you the news that you should not compete any longer, professionally. To say the least, i was stunned and heart-broken for you, yet almost immediately, i thought how strong, and dynamic a person Saul Raisin is, and has been throughout his
entire life. First, you are a miracle....Second, you are driven to always do your Best A N D you will continue to follow that same path, no matter where it leads you. You\'ve always had the best guide leading you onward and you always will.
.. You have that powerful spirit and will and that energy that will continue to move mountains (and continue to go up and down mountains, around curves, etc.) and all possibilities await.. Ken and I are so proud of all of your goals and accomplishments and know they will only continue.

The BEST to you and your bride, always,

hebe and Ken wall
P.S. I was very sad to learn about the Tour de Georgia not going through Dalton, April 2008. It\'s a major disappointment to me and loss to the Dalton community..The Tour de Georgia gave Dalton that air and flair of Europe, if only for a day. or so..the color, the excitement, the taste of Europe for a brief moment...
Oh well, C\'est la vie, Saul!

A N D there\'s 2009....maybe if we get busy, we can get the Tour back!
Mais Oui! \'a \'bientot!

Being home after an accident gives me some time to finaly read your book completely.
It is a wonderfull story. Most of all your parents insire me. They made you the person you are. They gave you the strength to fight through everything. They gave you so much love, no way you could turn out different than the loving person you are.

Thank you Jim and Yvonne for reasing such a beautiful person.

Saul, while I really thought you would make it back to racing because of your drive and dedication, it really does not matter. Someone with your character and perseverance will make it in any path you choose. Best wishes and congratulations on your marriage. I will be a Saul Raisin fan for life - in or out of the peloton.

Yes Hawaii is beautifl, but not as beautiful as the two souls in the wedding pictures. My congrats to both of you, you not only hold the sun in your hands, but the hearts and best wishes of your friends and ardent supporters. Blue skies to both you and Aleeza

Saul and Aleeza,
Congratulations on your marriage -"you done good"!
Loved your book. You're right, you were meant to be a cyclist. You're young with lots of opportunities - if not now, later. Keep on dreaming; dreams do come true. (Forgive the plagarism). Allez!

Best of luck in whatever you do. With your attitude, I know you will be welcome in almost any job environment. You are making a difference!
Your book (and my wife) have inspired me (and my local Rotary Club) to begin a program called "Lids for Kids", where we provide free helmets to first graders. My wife also suffered a TBI over two years ago while cycling, and this year completed her first century since the accident. She's incredible!

Congrats on the wedding!

Have you ever thought about racing Pursuit? You and Taylor Phinney would make the best male pursuit pair the US has ever seen. Perhaps that would be sufficiently less risky than road racing.

Bonjour Saul,
Bien cordialement

Saul, our warmest congratulations to you and your new bride! I can hardly wait to meet her. She must be very special . I was very sad to read the decision by the team doctors though I understand that they only want the best for your entire life not just your racing life. Enjoy this very special time and being in paradise. I so loved living in Hawaii for 8 years and know how special the islands are. Your work future will unfold in time. You have so much to contribute to cycling and to the recovery of head injury victims. I know all of it will unfold in a very special, unique way. I hope you got the orchids upon your arrival. We wanted to make your arrival in our "home in our heart" very special. Much happiness and with much aloha, The Bolians

Congratulations on a great place that you have put yourself in this life.
Apprehension of what to do has two sides, maybe more, the fearfull side, an illusion is one and the possibilities and opportunities, the real, are the other.
Enjoy your life, keep eyes wide open.
You've had a great life so far, keep it up, the best is yet to come.
